Healthy Communities
The AMA Alliance invites you to join us in the promotion of health and healthy lifelong behavior by participating in state and county alliance programs and events. Since 1995 and the inception of S.A.V.E. (Stop America’s Violence Everywhere), the Alliance has been actively involved in projects that promote violence prevention and address issues of bullying and anger control. Millions of children throughout the country have benefitted from the elementary school activity booklets provided by Alliance members in their local communities. SAVE Today is an annual observance on the second Wednesday of October and coincides with Health Cares About Domestic Violence Day
Building healthy communities is an integral component of the AMAA focus. Recognizing the impact of lifestyle choices on health, we promote exercise, good nutrition, work-life balance, and awareness of other factors that influence wellness. We are especially mindful of the stresses on medical families and promote healthy life choices for physician families.

We value collaboration. Working together as a team (county, state, and national alliances) we can make a difference and have a greater impact.
